I’ve done many color recognition activities with my children over the years and have blogged about several of them. I’ve searched my archives and pulled together several color recognition activities for toddlers that you can find on Spell Outloud.

Color Recognition Activities for Toddlers

1. Bug Color Sort with printable sorting mat. Hands-on color sorting is always fun!

2.  Octopus Color Match free printable - this printable card set goes great with an ocean theme!

3.  Bee Color Match (We used it during our Bugs toddler unit)

4. Colors of the Wordless Book Color Sort (plus free printable Wordless book pages) Use craft foam as sorting mats for any color objects.

5. Color-Themed Sensory Bins. Highlight one specific color in a tactile way.

These are just some of the activities we have done in the past. You can use almost anything and turn it into a color sorting activity!
